Five New England Rock Favorites Play the Main Stage Over Three-Day Event

 

(NASHUA, NH – May 2013) – The Rotary Club of Nashua West presents its 11th annual Rock’n Ribfest June 14 to June 16, 2013 at the Anheuser-Busch facility, 221 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, NH.  Five of the region’s most popular rock bands and 25 teen bands will be taking the Main Stage for the three-day outdoor event.

“We’ve got some of the region’s most popular rock and blues bands joining us for our big tenth year of Rock’n Ribfest,” says Rick Herrick, Rotary Club Nashua West president and senior loan officer at Mortgage Financial, Inc. in Bedford, NH.  “Called the best tribute on Earth” by Rolling Stone Magazine, 1964 The Tribute is a family-friendly exciting revue of The Beatles’ pre-Sgt. Pepper era including the band’s most popular tunes and looks. From their iconic mop tops to Love Me Do, fans will experience The Beatles circa 1964 when they first innocently took the United States by storm.

The $7 all-day pass allows attendees access to all concerts for the entire day. Children age eight and under are free. There will be free admission on Sunday, June 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for active duty, active reserve, ready reserve service member or National Guardsman and up to four family members. The military personnel will simply need to show a Department of Defense photo ID. The Military Appreciation Day is sponsored by Anheuser-Busch and the Rotary Club of Nashua West.

Saturday’s outdoor Main Stage events will kick off rain or shine at 11 a.m. with the Teen Band Competition winner followed by The Slakas, a five-piece rockin’ favorite on the New England rock scene, The Pop Farmers and The Psychedelic Relics.  Sunday promises another exciting line-up starting at 11 a.m. with the Teen Band Competition Winner #2 and wraps with The Blues Brothers the Next Generation.

Rock’n Ribfest is Rotary Club of Nashua West’s largest annual fundraiser. Net proceeds from the event will benefit more than 40 local nonprofit organizations.
